Specifications
  • Cores manufactured to ISO 6722-1:2011 (class B) 105°C
  • Tinned Copper Conductors, PVC insulated
  • Suitable for use at temperatures from -40ºC to 105ºC with excursions up to 120ºC
  • Twins and multicore PVC sheathed at 70ºC
  • Suitable for 12v and 24v systems (maximum 60v)
  • Good resistance to petrol, diesel, lubricating oils and diluted acid
  • Very good resistance to moisture
  • PVC insulation saves weight and offers good resistance to abrasion and cut through

OceanFlex PVC ISO 13297 Battery Cable

High durability ISO 13297 cable; as per ISO13297:2021 - Small craft - Electrical systems - Alternating and direct current installations, this international standard for marine installers mandates that yellow coloured cable must be used as the DC negative if there is an AC system within the same craft, and uses black to denote negative. This is to distinguish between the AC/DC negative lines to engineers and technicians working on the craft.

Double insulated battery/welding cable designed to withstand severe climatic and mechanical conditions. The sheath remains flexible at both high and low temperatures and is flame retardant.

  • Manufactured in accordance with BS638 part 4 standard.
  • Tinned copper conductors (orange only).
  • High temperature separator.
  • Butyl rubber insulation, rubber sheath 85ºC.

Tri‑Rated Cables

Typically used as switch gear cabling, the AMC tri-rated cable combines flame retardant sheathing with improved flexibility. Having undergone independent testing by BASEC, the cables can withstand a wide range of operating conditions, including elevated temperatures, mechanical stress, and chemical exposure.

  • Complies to British (BS 6231), US (UL 758) and Canadian (CSA C22.2); also known as H05V2‑K & H07V2‑K
  • Rated to an operating temperature of 90°C per BS6231 with additional flame retardant properties
